Centre Pasteur Cameroon (CPC) is a technical body of the Cameroon Ministry of Public Health, and a Public administrative establishment endowed with financial autonomy and a legal entity. It was created in 1959 in Yaounde; it has an annex campus in Garoua (CPCAG) since 1985, and a satellite unit in Douala since 2004. It is placed under the double supervision of the Ministries of Public Health and Finance. CPC is a member of the Institut Pasteur International Network (IPIN) with which it shares its principal mission, the fight against infectious diseases.
With this goal, it ensures four missions: services, public health, research and training. The objective of each of these missions is to best meet the needs of the Ministry of Public Health in terms of scientific expertise and Public Health interventions based on the health sectoral strategy.
