Product Description

Ref-SKU:
011V-02816
This clone belongs to a unique set of HIV-2 biological clones from West African immigrants in The Netherlands. Clones were obtained from patients with non-progressive, aviremic or progressive, viremic HIV-2 infection. The HIV-2 biological clones were isolated after limiting dilution co-culture of patient PBMC or plasma with CD8-depleted PBMC from healthy blood bank donors. The clone is replication competent and has been characterized for in vitro replication kinetics and co-receptor usage. Sequence is available in Genbank.
