Yes
Biosafety restrictions:
Plasmid DNA itself is not infectious unless transfected into suitable cells; current studies suggest that the construct leads to an abortive infection
Region encompassed in this Product:
entire virus genome
Plasmid:
Plasmid selection:
TAG:
Sequencing:
Fully sequenced
Sequence checked:
Yes
Mutations:
No mutation compared to the reference sequence
Nucleic Acid preparation technique:
solid phase ion exchange column purification

TE Buffer -20C
Shipping conditions:
IATA Classification:
Virus host type:
Note:

The recombinant plasmid has been generated by replacing in frame the original HIV-1 protease gene of NL4-3 with the entire protease gene taken from HIV-2 ROD. The resulting plasmid expresses, upon transfection of human cells, all viral proteins but failed to produce infectious particles in experimental cell infections in vitro.
